1-Year ahead. You will need to pick a wedding venue. This in turn may decide your wedding date.

Explore wedding venues in your area by looking them up on-line. Together with your fiancé create a list of venues that would fit the vibe of your wedding theme and budget.

Things to keep in mind: Do you want an outdoor or indoor wedding? Will the wedding and reception be in the same location? How many guests will you need to accommodate. Budget, Budget, Budget! (This will usually be your largest expense next to Food & Flowers.)

You will need to secure your date by paying a down payment. (Plan on a down payment that is at least 10% of the total cost of the venue rental.)

Congratulations! You are now on your way to planning your picture perfect wedding.
