Blog Post #2: Capturing Your Special Day on Film

Updated: Jan 31, 2022

Booking a Wedding Photographer.

Of course, you will want all the special moments of your big day captured on film. One of the largest expenses next to the Wedding Venue will be your Wedding Photographer. Looking for a photographer who can capture your personalities and put you at ease while working is super important and is well worth putting in the time on the front end to find just the right person. There are photographers that can fit any budget. I have found word of mouth is usually the best bet in finding someone to fit your budget and personality. There are lots of people you know who get married every year, right? Chances are you will know someone, who knows someone, who recently got married.

Most photographers will also include an engagement shoot in the wedding package which will enable them to work with you before the wedding. In this initial meeting, you can discuss shot styles, locations, props and clothing changes for your engagement shoot. Once you have worked with the photographer, you will have a good idea if they will be a good fit for your wedding shoot. All you have left to do is create a shot list of photos you'd like taken on your big day so you can be sure to capture all the fun that great aunt Jean and great uncle Herb had celebrating the new Mr and Mrs.
